I m a french citizen who recently acquired UK EEA PR Feb 2019 with 5 years continous residence moving towards British citizenship . My son born in India Dec 2016 and he is french citizen by father descent and arrived UK May 2017. My wife is an Indian citizen and have valid UK residence card till 2021 . Could anyone advice do my son qualify for British citizen if yes when if not what are the other options .

Your son needs PR or settled status before he can apply for citizenship.

Thank you CR001 could you please let me know if I have to get PR for my son should I wait for 5 years ( 2022) from the date of arrival 2017 in UK . How do I prove my son is with me ?

I have got my UK PR recently Feb 2019 . My EU child born outisde UK Dec 2016 and he is with me in UK since then . How can I apply British Citizenship for my child on what basis if my child qualiies

I already answered this question in March when you asked. The child will need PR or settled status and can only apply for citizenship when EITHER parent is applying or where one parent is already British and the other holds PR.
