Delayed biometrics for overseas citizenship registrations

I’ve been applying from the US for my daughters’ citizenships (by descent, for simplicity’s sake, so cannot go to the standard route or simply applying for their passports).

We had a biometric appointment for them the day after USCIS stopped servicing UKVI applicants due to the delayed payment to Homeland Security.

It seems that issue has since been resolved and the ASCs are now accepting UK visa applicants about this, but UKVI emailed me to tell me that this does not apply to citizenship applications (that distinction is not made on the VFS website I was told to check). They’ve said they will tell me when citizenship applicants can get their biometrics done again, but I have no more information on what exactly the issue is or a timeline for when that may be resolved.

Is anyone else in this boat and has heard any more information, or has been able to continue with their biometrics for citizenship since the April suspension of applicant processing? I am completely reliant on UKVI to remember I exist at this point and given the unusual circumstances, I am trying to stay abreast as best as possible.

Bumping, I have heard no more information and no one has contacted me to tell me I can continue on enroling my children's biometrics from abroad. Has anyone been able to do this from overseas (for citizenship, not visas) in the last month?

It is, I was just wondering if the process had started moving along again for anyone in the US doing citizenship biometrics.

That notice apparently only applies to visas, as I mentioned in my original post. I’m looking to hear from anyone who has been able to process biometrics for citizenship since the announcement that ASCs were accepting UK applicants again.

I did not see the notice was only for Visa's my apologies, however I would pretend I didn't see it and walk in, and see what they do, maybe you are lucky and it gets processed.

As was explained to me at the VFS office, if the biometrics are erroneously filed, your entire application essentially needs to be tossed out and re-started, including the £1000 application fee (x3 kids).
