Dear Madam / Sirs,

I have received the UK naturalisation certificate for my daughter (9 years old). Now I am applying the passport for my daughter could any one of you explain the process. Please also clarify the below doubts ->
1. Do I have to return her Indian passport first and then apply for new passport?
2. My daughter name spelled incorrect when we register since birth certificate. I would like to correct it in the new Passport. Can we do at the same time?

1. You have to send the foreign passport to HMPO with the British passport application.

2. The British passport will be issued in the same name as her other official documents. What does the registration certificate state, presumably the same as her Indian passport.

I understand that the process is to first apply the passport, after successful and then hand over the Indian passport to India embassy. And apply the oci. Is my understanding correct?

Either apply online or pick up a form from the post office.
