Hi all

I am currently applying for my first adult British passport and one of the supporting documents is to provide my passport of first entry into the UK. I have searched everywhere for this and cant seem to find it. However, I have my current passport which is still valid.

Can i just write a cover letter explaining that my passport of first entry to the UK is lost or do i have to provide a police report for that.

Thanks

Thanks for your reply.

I have written a cover letter that the said passport is lost.

Hopefully that will be enough.

Don’t they usually ask for a a valid passport? Depends on which criteria you are applying for I guess.

Op has a valid passport. The requirement is to send all uncancelled passports and in this case they have asked for passport used to enter the uk which is the one that is lost.
