Hi,

I am in the process of filling the online application form and planning to use new service (Sopra SteriaUKVCAS). Is that possible to apply for British passport at the same time (JCAP) when we go to submit the AN form documents to the new service.

Please can any one share their experience.

Thanks & Regards
Ap

Hi Casa,

Thanks for your prompt reply. I have some doubts.
1. I have booked the appointment with the new service so i will be eligible Once I attend ceremony & get the Naturalization certificate after then i have to apply for British passport separately.
2. The New service will they return my original documents or not after the appointment. Because i am planning to travel out side the country. I saw there is an option like Documents checking service for which is I've to pay £35, will this include original documents checking such as BRP card and Passport so that they can return the original documents . please can you advise.

Thanks
Ap

You have 21 days to BOOK your ceremony and must ATTEND your ceremony within 90 days.

It take a few weeks/couple of months for approval, sometimes longer.

Hi,

I got a doubt with regards to the referee form:

1) In the form they were asking to fix the photo with the full name and DOB. Wanted to check if that need's to Applicant's photo or referees photo.

"Referees and Identity
Passport photo
On the back of the applicant’s photograph, please write
their full name and date of birth. The photograph should
then be glued into the space aside.
There are rules about what your photograph should look
like. To find out more about these rules, go to
https://www.gov.uk/photos-for-passports
This part of the form is to be filled in by the applicant’s referees once their
photograph has been attached, as explained above. "

2) I have given two of my friends names as referee.

For an adult application, one referee should be a person of any nationality who has
professional standing, eg minister of religion, civil servant, or a member of a
professional body e.g. accountant or solicitor (who is not representing you with this
application).
For all applications, the second referee must normally be the holder of a British
citizen passport and either a professional person or over the age of 25.

Please could you confirm these two questions.

Thanks & Regards
Ap

It is the APPLICANTS photo!
2) I have given two of my friends names as referee.
Are either of them British? Is either one a Professional as listed in the Professional referee list?? Are they both over 25 and of good character??

Your ILR BRP can serve as proof of freedom from immigration time restrictions.

Your current valid passport is your proof of identity.

All the pages of all the passports you've had in the last 5 years can serve as proof of living in the UK if your passport was stamped by immigration each time you travelled to be able to show the days you left and entered the UK.

You might want to scan all the pages inside the passport, including the ones without stamps to show that you are not hiding any stamps.

P60s and Payslips are only needed when you're using it to prove that you were resident in the UK. A passport with all your stamps entering the country during the 5 years is sufficient.

Hi,
I've filled online naturalisation application and uploaded my documents through UKVCAS. Also I gave my biometric on 03 Mar 2019 but until now I haven't received any confirmation letter or naturalisation approval letter. I m little may anyone know how long it will take. I was reading the immigration website they stated until 6 months you will get a decision but I am just worried as they haven't sent any confirmation letter.

Many thanks in advance,
Ana
