Documents to prove residence (Spouse of British Citizen)

Hello all,

I have really tried hard to find answers for my questions before posting but wasn't finding them, and I have my Croydon document appointment tomorrow!

I am applying for naturalisation. I currently hold Permanent Residence (my husband is a British Citizen, we did the Surinder Singh route). I have read that Non-EU applicants don't need to upload documents to prove residence because their passport is their evidence, but since I had a residence card and then PR my passport would not get stamped on entry each time.

I am wondering whether I need to supply evidence for 3 or 5 years. I am attaching P60's and payslips. I hope it's okay that the P60's are not scanned, since I only ever had digital copies, same for some of my payslips.

I am also wondering why I have to prove residence when I recently had to do that for my permanent residence document!

Also, I read somewhere I need to upload my husband's British passport, do I need to scan all the pages or just the photo page?

Many thanks! This forum was invaluable to me when applying for EEA2 and EEA4 and I hope you can help me once more.

It should be for 3 years as/if you are applying on the basis of being married to a British citizen. P60s are sufficient, payslips not required.

I am also wondering why I have to prove residence when I recently had to do that for my permanent residence document! PR comes under EU regulations basically, naturalisation is governed by the British Nationality Act, different laws, different directorates, etc. Provide what is required and remember it's going back from your AN application.

Also, I read somewhere I need to upload my husband's British passport, do I need to scan all the pages or just the photo page? I would assume the detail photo page would be sufficient - unless there are any endorsements which have a bearing on his status.

Many thanks! This forum was invaluable to me when applying for EEA2 and EEA4 and I hope you can help me once more.

Thank you very much!
I am only supplying payslips for the time I don't have P60 for - there is one I am missing unfortunately.
Thank you for explaining why I have to prove residence, I suppose that makes sense.
