Hello everyone
seeking guidance and suggestions to apply for British citizenship.
Context to my case :
I have been in the UK since OCT2013 - present. 5 years 8 months. I complete 6 years in Oct 2019. on a Spouse of an EEA nation visa.
I have a Permanent residency card.
12 month on residency card will be completed on oct2019
My spouse has just received British nationality. Can I apply for the British nationality now? as living in the UK and married to British national for 3-year route or do I have to wait for 12 months on Permanent residency card.
will appriciate any suggestions and if someone have been in the same situation.
warm regards
Jay

Presumably your spouse has attended their ceremony already??
If you meet the requirements you can apply now if your spouse has attended their ceremony.

Dear CR001
thanks for your reply
YES, my spouse did attend their ceremony already 2 weeks ago.
I have been in the country for more than 5 years. not been out of the UK for more than 90 days in the past 12 months. Everything else is in order as I just got my permanent residence card.
I have a degree from a UK university. so English test not required.
I just need to do my life in the UK test.
am I correct?

Correct yes. Also make sure that you were physically present in the UK exactly 3 years ago, corresponding to the date you apply online. This is a mandatory requirement. Also make sure that your absences in the last 3 years are less than 270 days.

Thanks CR001
As I have recently received a PR recently I reckon the below requirements were fulfilled :
absences in the last 3 years are less than 270 days
physically present in the UK exactly 3 years ago . does that mean I could have not even been even on a holiday in Europe on that date 3 years ago.

PR under the EEA/EU rules is completely separate and different to British citizenship under the British Nationality Laws. What might be accepted for PR is not necessarily accepted for citizenship. So make sure that your citizenship application meets all the requirements and forget about what you were required to meet to get PR.

Correct. You must have been physically in the UK. It is a mandatory requirement and many have been refused for citizenship for failing to meet this requirement.
