I have a Zimbabwean passport and it expired. My visa is in that passport and it Indefinite Leave to Enter. I do not hold a BRP. I have been in the country for over 10yrs now.

Can I apply for naturalisation with an expired foreign passport?
Do I need to apply for a BRP first?

Yes you can apply with an expired passport.

When did your passport expire exactly?

You will need to submit evidence that you were residence in the UK since expiry date.

You also need English and liuk requirements and you might need valid passport for that.

You will need the life in the UK test and you need photo identification for that.

You will then need to submit evidence of being resident in the UK since April 2018.

Yes you will get a checklist and the AN guidance note and AN booklet also has information.

You will need something other than bank statements. Stuff like P60, council tax, tenancy, payslips etc.
