my husband applied for his british citizenship on 31st match 19. did biometrics on 5th april. still waiting for reaponse.

emailed them last week.....this is the reply....why are they saying it will take longer because we applied on the 31st?....does this have anything to do with brexit deadline?

All applications are dealt with in application receipt date order. As you application was received on 31st March 19, It will take a while longer for your application to be considered. Once your application is decided, you will be contacted by your caseworker.

There is no significance in the date 31st March. This response is simply pointing out that the application hasn't been decided yet. Chasing them before the 6 month period has passed is pointless and you will only continue to receive the standard generic reply.
