Hi I have got settled status and my 2 sons age 18 and 20 years old non EU came in UK just 2 years before and they got settled status also. My question can I apply their British Nationality after 1 year as mentioned in letter they can apply after 1 year of they got ILR. Some people told me I can't because they need to live 5 years in UK then they can apply for nationality. I'm confused please advise me. Thanks

There are two separate requirements that must be met for ALL applicants over 18 years of age. They must have settled status for 12 months AND they must have 5 years residence which must include the 1 year settled status. There is no shortcut for your children over 18.

They will BOTH also need to meet the English B1 and Life in the UK test requirements.
