Hello All,

So I was on spouse visa whilst my spouse was on ilr.

Received my ILR after 5 years of spouse visas this month.

My spouse has applied for BC last month.

Now once my spouse become british can I apply for british citizenship straightaway? On the basis of my spouse being british and me being in uk for last 3 years?

Or do i need to wait for a year on my ILR?

MANY THANKS

Yes, providing you meet all the standard requirements, including permitted absence in the 3 year qualifying period and good character etc.

Or do i need to wait for a year on my ILR?
