Referee declaration forms

Hi, I recently made citizenship application at Manchester office. Whilst the process itself is straightforward, lack of space, non-reliable machines can make things difficult. My question is about referee declaration form. I didn't upload the signed forms and I got an email saying that all mandatory documents have been uploaded. I paid extra fees for documents check and even the staff member there did not ask for those forms. Can this be an issue as some people uploaded the forms, some did not and UKVCAS document service which claims to also check if documents are complete did not ask for it.

The document checking service just checks the quality of the uploads by urself no?
The document scanning service.. scans the documents you provide and uploads to the system.
I would think providing or uploading mandatory documents is applicants responsibility.

On their website, UKVCAS says that document checking service also checks if uploaded documents are 'complete', then wouldn't/shouldn't it be their responsibility to check that all mandatory documents have been uploaded?

UKCVAS is only a third party agent. They are not HO staff or employees and neither do they have extensive training or experience in every single HO application. It is the applicants responsibility to make sure they have uploaded everything.
Why did you not upload the forms, they are mandatory!

I understood that they were mandatory but since they had to be printed out, I thought they wanted to double check hand-signed forms, so left at their discretion. I am planning to contact a lawyer whom I know and see if they can be send to HO additionally as don't want to take a chance, would that work in your opinion? or should I call HO and see what they say?

So at no point did they tell you that they were sending the docs to HO and if it was ok with you?
Complain/feedback against service standards
Did you hand over the check list?
Did you tell them you had already uploaded the documents?
Did it not occur to you at any point before the end of your appointment to mention the referee docs?
Anyways don’t worry.
You don’t need a lawyer to send documents to HO.
Just send the originals as additional documents.
State... name, nationality, date of birth, case ID
Further to the subject above please find blah blah.

They did not ask me for checklist, the operator looked at the documents uploaded and said its fine and we do not need any additional documents from you, just scanned passport and said its all fine to go ahead.
So should I just post the signed declaration forms to HO with a cover letter stating case ID and other personal details?
Many thanks for the advice, really appreciate you taking time to answer these queries.

Again do raise this as an issue in feed back /complain. They charge atrocious amount of money they must be given adequate customer service training.
Yes.. just post the docs via recorded delivery to the Sheffield address.
To, Nationality Team
Home office.
Sheffield.
It’ll be sent to the department that’s dealing with ur case eventually via the address.
Or if you want an exact address and a solution than email:

That is brilliant, I will email nationlityenquiries and will see what they say. This sounds like the most plausible way forward, to send them the additional documents by tomorrow to tuesday as everything apart from that in my application is pretty straightforward. Thanks !

Keep in mind:
1.You probably won’t get a quick answer via the email
2. Scan the pages via idiot-phone or take a photo. Keep for records. Also in case you receive an email from caseworker so you can provide them.
3. Post the docs as well as the turn around can be potentially quick.

Haha, no worries. That actually makes more sense, I will email them the scanned copies, will also post the hard copies of signed declaration form by post, I shall leave no stone un-turned

Sorry was in the middle of a house move, so could not reply earlier. I called home office and I was told that as I have emailed the declaration forms to the 'FurtherNationalityEnquiry' ID, it should be fine, if anything else is needed, homeoffice would contact me, so I should not worry.
Also asked a lawyer that I know and he told me that no application is rejected because of a missing declaration form as such, and they would contact me if they need a copy (once a caseworker has been assigned.

Sorry for the late reply, I got my approval letter 3 days ago and according to the date on it, it was generated exactly 2 months after the date of application, so in line with others have been saying on other boards about how long they are taking these days to process the application. since they never asked me for any additional information nor did they contact the referees, so am guessing either it was not as issue to start with and they were fine with referee details in the application, or they were happy with the followup email I sent.
