Can I qualify for U.K. citizenship through my dad if he has double descent?

Hello! I am looking for possible U.K. citizenship routes. My paternal grandmother was the first born in the US, her siblings (brothers) and parents (my great grandparents) immigrated from the U.K. if my father were to apply for citizenship through descent and were successful, would I then be able to apply through his claim? I am an adult and all I can find is if the child of the claim is under 18. Thank you so much!

no, unfortunately, you could only have a claim if your father was already registered /naturalised at the time of your birth ( and that would also depend under which section of British Citizenship Act ) normally those registered as citizens are registered and become British by descent and cannot pass it on
