Hi friends
I along with family entered uk on HSMP Visa in August 2008. ILR granted in August 2013. One month after ILR left UK for home country for few months. Had to stay there till 2017 due to wife's serious illness. Resident Visa applied in 2017 and refused. Granted after successful Judicial review in 2019.
Facts: Remained in UK for five year before ILR. On month after ILR and six months after Returning resident visa
Question 1 when we can apply for naturalisation?
2. From which date five years residency requirement will start.
3. Requirement that one must be physically present in UK on the date five years before the naturalization application (I was out of uk for six years)
Guidance is requested please.

1. Once you have 5 years residence immediately preceding date of application for citizenship. So likely on the 5th anniversary of the date you returned, 2019 to 2024.

2. Date of application counting 5 years backwards, so from the date you returned to the UK plus 5 years.

3. You can apply 5 years from the date you returned to the UK in 2019. Your previous 5 years in the UK is irrelevant.
