Travel after submitting Naturalisation as EEA citizen

Hi,

I have just submitted my application and attended my biometric enrollment appointment with UKVCAS,
The lady there seemed to think I wasn't supposed to travel until I receive my BRP card which she said could take up to 8 weeks.
Being an EU citizen I have never needed a BRP card to remain in the UK. I have IRL and also permanent residency.

I'm planning on travelling for 3-4 months without returning to the UK.

I worry that I will exceed the allowed number of days you can be away within a year or does that not count once you've submitted the application?

I will have a good friend monitoring the post in case they get in touch so I can respond to those straight away.

Has anyone had any issues with longer travel after submitting being an EU citizen?

Ignore it. That is only relevant when making an immigration application NOT a nationality application. That advice is not relevant to people applying for citizenship. You will not get a BRP and you are free to travel
