Hello All,
I am going for naturalisation on Nov 4 .I have got my ILR on 10 years residence. Unfortunately i have lost my old passport few months back and i have a police copy of that with me .Is that a problem losing my old passport ? Do i need to upload that old passport as well or is there any other alternative for that ?
Also what all documents do i need to upload ? At the moment below are the documents i am thinking of but my main question is 'Is it really needed to upload the old passsport ' and if yes then what are the alternatives i can use to upload?
- Current passport
Biometric card
References
Declaration
Masters certificate
Life in UK
Any advice and help is much appreciated
Regards,
Johnwick

You need to go to your embassy and get a replacement passport before proceeding further.
You can apply for citizenship with an expired foreign passport but not without passport at all.
Also, when you get the British citizenship, the HMPO is going to ask for your passport in order to deliver a British passport. There again, without passport, it will be a serious issue.
I think in this situation, your first port of call is you Embassy.

For UKVCAS you only need the current passport.
However, you need to prove residency in UK for (5 or 3) years (depending under which section you are applying) that is your passport stamps. You will need to upload the police report plus some additional documents to prove residency (for the period not covered by your current passport).
If you have the copy of the old passport, you can simply just upload that. If not, police report plus some additional documents may be required to prove residency.

Will it be a problem when the OP will apply for british passport after naturalisation as the OP will then has to send the passport that was used to enter the UK?

The police report should suffice. Even a replacement will not show the entry stamp to UK.
