UKM Biometrics question

Hi all, newly registered but I've been reading and getting great info for a long time. US citizen with British mother. Just submitted my UKM form (through a UK lawyer) about 4 weeks ago. 2 weeks ago he got an email asking for my biometrics. It asked for dates that I am available to be able to make an appointment at a US ASC at least 2 weeks out from said email. I am self employed so we said I can make an appointment on any day ASAP. 2 weeks will be tomorrow and I'm concerned that we haven't heard anything about an appointment. Anyone know how long it generally takes to get an appointment in the US and if it is normal that the HO schedules the appointment for you? Just anxious to get this done. Thanks for any help
