Hi All,
I am currently in the process of applying ILR (Tier2 5 Year Route) end of November. I have a daughter born in March 2019 in the UK.
1. Could someone please let me know the overall process to get her registered as British Citizen and apply for her passport.
2. Documents required.
3. What is the overall processing timeline for getting registered and applying for passport
4. Do we have any priority service that we could opt for ?

Thanks much for all your help.

1. Online form MN1 to register her as British, book appointment with UKCVAS for biometrics and document check. Once you receive approval and the certificate, only then can you apply for a passport.

2. Birth cert, your ILR BRP and passport, child's passport if they have one.

3. Anywhere between a few weeks up to 6 months for MN1. You have a one week fast track option for the passport once you have the certificate.

4. No.

Thank you CR001.
Will my child be falling under the below section. Just wanted to confirm
Section 1(3) - A child born in the UK whose parents are not British citizens and were
not settled in the UK will have an entitlement to register when one of their parents
become settled in the UK or become British citizens
