MN1 or other? For Child born outside UK with ILR

Hi All
I searched the forum topics relevant for my case but unfortunately couldn't find a match. I would really appreciate if you can please help with this query below.
I had my ILR when my son was born outside the UK. I obtained British Citizenship through Naturalisation after a few years.
My son (8 years old) and my wife both obtained ILR last year August (through 5 year route). I am looking to register my son as a British Citizen as he already has ILR for 1 year now that I hold British Citizenship and my wife holds ILR. She is not applying for Naturalisation.
Is MN1 the right form for such a case where only child applies for BC (without any adult) but the child has ILR and one of the parents is already BC?
If so, the first page of the form has a few options to choose from and the only option I see relevant is "apply through Home office discretion" as other options talk about child's parent who is BC through descent (which I am not as I got my BC through naturalisation). I am confused whether home office discretion is the right choice even though my child has ILR currently?
Can you please guide me here?
