Passport Countersign issue

Hi everyone

I'm about to apply for my first new British passport (after having my ceremony done last week)
is it ok to let my employer (who is a Director of the company where I work for) to countersign my application? considering that I have been working for them since July 2019 (only 3 months ago)

Please advise with many thanks,

Regards

no:

Your countersignatory must:

have known you (or the adult who signed the form if the passport is for a child under 16) for at least 2 years
be able to identify you, for example they’re a friend, neighbour or colleague (not just someone who knows you professionally)
be ‘a person of good standing in their community’ or work in (or be retired from) a recognised profession
