Naturalisation Application

Hello,

I recieved ILR via Tier 2 General route couple of weeks ago. Being wife of a British Citizien I can apply for Naturalisation now. While looking through the application I had few questions.

I have visited UK on visit visa 2 times in 2009 (sponsored) and then three times again on as partners dependant as I was working abroad. Then I got Tier 2 from India and extended it here.

* In application form it asks, first date you arrived in UK ?
So is it my first UK visit visa arrival OR first visit as Tier 2 Dependant OR First arrival on Tier 2 from India ?

* Have you made any previous Uk Immigration applicaitons in the UK or abroad ?
Should I include my visit visa I applied from abroad ? or is it just the PBS dependant, T2G and T2G ext ?

* Since applying as a wife of British citizen they are only asking me last 3 years of travel. If the above answers dont reflect my earlier travel in 2009 for example, should I give all my travels or just 3 years as requested ?

* Immigration details ask for the date of application and reference number ?
Is it alright to put the start date shown on BRP and its reference number as I dont exactly remember them.

* Backdating 3 years to the date of applicaiton will be my online paying date to be physically present here ?

* Professional refree can be a schoool teacher as I understand ?

* Tax office reference number is Employer PAYE reference shown in P60 ?

* Partners citizenship ceriticate reference number ?
When there is already a reference number in the certificate, I saw couple of answers here saying it should be the certificate number. Which is the right one as both numbers are given on the certificate ?

Thanks again for your time.

* TIER2 Dependant visa ENTRY
* NO. Visit visas are not immigration applications.
* YES. As they only expect 3 years absences for bc spouse.
* Approval letters contain reference numbers. It’s not important to state it. It’s an IF KNOWN question.
* YES
* YES
* YES
* State the obvious.. Certificate number not reference number.

Thank you for your prompt response @aman90

* My tier 2 dependant was stamped abroad and the first travel I made to UK with it was in 2010(which I will put in the form as you said) and couple after that before getting a PBS dependant from UK when I settled here. Since they ask only 3 years of absence I was thinking of enclosing a covering letter to show the years from 2010 onwards including absence. Seems its not necessary then ? I just dont want to take any risk with HO, just in case ?

* In immigration questions , there is one which asks the name of the applicant ? Does it actually mean the visa category ?

No, it is your name. People change their names for various reasons, ie marriage or deed poll, divorce etc.

Stick to what is required. If it’s 3 years than don’t overthink it. Too much information can sometimes be detrimental.

Name of applicant means exactly that.
If it was visa category it would have exactly stated that. Ur dealing with the creators of the language
It could be that you were known by a different name at the time.

Thank you again @aman90 & CR001

Apologies, the actual wording of the question is "Name in which you made the application" ? I assume they meant name of the applicant but I saw a few responses here where people actually have given the "visa category" there. Hence the confusion. I am going to stick my name there.

Makes sense not to go overboard with all the information. I will just give the 3 years info as requested.

Appreciate your time and well done to you all for keeping up this wonderful service.
