Am I free to leave the UK and settle in a different country soon (say 1-2 weeks) after completing my application for british citizenship by naturalisation ?...Or is the Home Office going to check that I am still in the country until they finish examining my application ? I'm an EU migrant with indefinite leave to stay.

Well you are free to leave but getting approved means nothing if you don’t take the oath and are granted the certificate.
British Nationality is a privilege not a right.
If it’s deemed that you never intended to make Britain ur main home than it can be revoked.

Hi Pidri, Can you please let us know what you decided to do eventually? What was the outcome of your application?
