Only British citizens can apply for a British passport. Your children are not British if born abroad.

They also can only apply for citizenship when either parent is also applying and the other parent holds settled status.

How old are the children??

Hi Thanks for quick reply.
I am non EU spouse of EEA. My wife has settled status. I applied for me and my sons 19 and 21 who came in UK in 2018. They are non EU dependent child. They have RC for 5 years. So when we applied for settlement they got settled status. I still waiting.

My wife has settled status.
Now
My son 19 has settled status.
My son 21 has settled status.
I am waiting for my settlement application.

Question is can they apply for citizenship? How long they need to wait?

They don't qualify for citizenship. As adults, they need 5 years residence before they can apply and they have to meet the English B1 and life in the UK test requirements.
