Travel while citizenship application is being processed

Hi everyone. I've been on ILR as a non-EU citizen for almost a year now, and it's time to start my citizenship application.

My question is about whether you can travel outside the UK while your citizenship application is being processed (taking up to 6 months but occasionally more)

I'm planning the year ahead and don't want any nasty surprises so I'd like to check if I can travel for holidays, work/conferences or family matters overseas.

If you have traveled during your application being processed, please share your experience with getting back into the UK in particular.

Thanks :)

Thanks for the reply. I came across this immigration rule on the government website: https://www.gov.uk/guidance/immigration ... 1withdrawn
Initially I thought that it says that I won't be able to travel, but perhaps my mistake is that this is for leave to remain rather than citizenship. Am I interpreting this correctly?
Thanks

You have applied for CITIZENSHIP and NOT a visa or leave to remain. Two completely different things.

Naturalisation does NOT fall under the Immigration Rulels but under the Nationality Laws.
