Hi all,

I have a question regarding the Naturalisation process.

I got married outside UK and came to UK on a Tier 1 General PBS dependant visa. I just received my ILR after spending 5 years. My husband got his British citizenship earlier this year. My question is do I need to wait 1 year before I can apply for naturalisation or can I apply now as my husband is British but he became British after our marriage.

Many thanks

No.
Or can I apply now as my husband is British

Yes, provided you meet the three year residence requirement to apply as spouse of British citizen, ie absence limits etc
but he became British after our marriage.
Irrelevant.

Make sure, crucially, that you were physically present in the UK exactly 3 years ago on the same date your submit and apply.
