No CASE ID for British Citizenship application

Hi Everyone,
I came across unusual situation and interested to know if anybody had the same and can share their experience.
I submitted an application for naturalisation as a British Citizen. The application contained two applicants: Applicant 1: Myself (Adult), Applicant 2: My child.
After submission of an application I immediately booked appointments for biometrics for both Applicants (Adult & Child) with UKVI. Payment for both Applicants (Adult and Child) are taken from my account and two unique application numbers (UAN) are also received.
On the next day after submission of an application I received an e-mail from the HO with the unique CASE ID for Applicant 2 (Child).
However, the main Applicant 1 (Adult) still hasn’t received an e-mail from Home Office with the unique CASE ID and confirmation that application has been received and is being considered. It’s around 4 weeks since the application is submitted.
Does anyone know if absence of the Case ID e-mail can delay the application and any reasons why no Case ID has been assigned to the main Applicant 1 (Adult)?
Many thanks for your time and feedback.

As payment for all applicants have been taken then applications are in their processing system.
Emails from UKVI seem to be hit or miss, some get them others don't. No email doesn't mean no case ID has been assigned.
UKVI does not inform you as to progress of applications.

Hi,

Yes, payment for all applicants has immediately been taken. Money is paid :)

I called HO on separate occasions and got contradicting information.

1. In one case I was informed that Case ID should come within 4 weeks.
2. On another occasion I was told that not to worry as sometimes Case ID don't arrive and as far as I am allowed to go to biometrics appointment everything is ok.
3. Another response I got is that application is not yet on CID and 'HO forwarded the case for action'. I am confused what it means as no further details are given.

So, three different responses have lack of consistency in content. Therefore, I am interested if anyone had similar before.

Have you submitted your biometrics data?
