Dear all

I first come to uk on 6 months visitor visa in 0ctober 2003, overstayed my visa for few years, got married and left the UK voluntarily November 2010, applied for spouse visa and was granted after appeal to upper tribunal on July 2012, ILR was granted same day service June 2014.

Can anyone advise if the 10 years ban start from the day I left the UK or from the day I was granted the spouse visa?

Many thanks

There should not be any overstaying within the last 10 years from the date of your application.

It does not start from anywhere. It is 10 years counting backwards from the date of your application :!:
Also this is just a guideline. British citizenship by naturalisation is purely discretionary and not an entitlement

PCNs do not need to be declared and have no effect on your application unless you challenged them in court and lost.

FYI PCNs are issued by government bodies and failure to pay them is an offence. Private parking charges on the other hand are NOT PCNs and are NOT legally enforceable at all. They are like an invoice issued by a private business (parking company) demanding a charge.
Hi Zimba,

I'm due to apply for Naturalisation next few weeks and have one paid PCN from the council, do i have to declare it on my naturalisation form?
does it affect my application?

Many thanks
