Naturalisation for spouse

Hi all,

Apologies if i've missed a similar or related question. I am applying for my wife and one of the requirements is that the applicant must be in the country on the day 3 years prior to the application being received. What does application being received mean.. is it:

1. when the online application is submitted
2. when the biometrics is done
3. when all supporting docs are recevied.

I can submit the application now but if the answer is 3 then i don't have enough time to do biometrics and send documentation before 19th i guess?

Date if application is the date you submit and pay online.

Date of biometrics is irrelevant.

Nothing is posted to HO. You apply online and scan and upload your documents to ukcvas sopra steria website before your biometrics appointment.

Thanks, my computer crashed and i hadn't realised the post had been submitted, i was obviously looking in the wrong place d'oh.

SO, if i submit the online form today and pay i won't fall foul of the below as my wife was not in the country from 19th Jan 2017 for 6 weeks.

"You must have been physically present in England, Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man or the Channel Islands on the day 3 years before the application is received by the Home Office."

Great news, and thanks for the support. I first came on to this board 10 years ago and the moderator team are all amazing :-)

one of the questions asks if the applicant has dependents, Do you have any dependants not applying with you at this time?

What is considered a dependent? My wife and I have two young children who are British citizens, would they be considered dependents of my wife (my wife doesn't work)?
