Spouses with ILR applying for citizenship

Hello,

My spouse got her ILR a few months ago (via 5 years with Tier 2). I have my own Tier 2 and will be eligible to get my ILR in a few months.

I know that as a spouse of UK citizen, a person with ILR can apply for UK citizenship. By the time my spouse is eligible to apply for UK citizenship, I will have had my IRL for 5 months.

Question: can I apply for the UK citizenship at the same time with my spouse or I need to wait for her to become a citizen first and then apply as ILR holding spouse of a UK citizen?

Appreciate your help!

No, you can only skip 12 months on ilr if your spouse is already a British citizen when you get ilr or have held ilr for less than 12 months.
Or I need to wait for her to become a citizen first and then apply as ILR holding spouse of a UK citizen?
Yes.

Yes.
That’s what I suspected :(
Thank you!
