Naturalisation as an adult - born and raised in the UK

Hi there, I am just hoping to get some confirmation of process to make sure I am completing the correct form.

I was born in the UK and have lived here all my life- excluding a year abroad in Spain in 2012-2013 for University. My family is Portuguese and my parents moved here in Spring 1991 shortly before I was born in Autumn 1991 just before Portugal joined the European Union in 1992. My parents never applied for ILR or similar because their status as EU national meant that they didn't have to.

I am now trying to apply for British Citizenship. Am I correct in thinking that;
  • I fill in the T Form
  • I do not have to take the Life in the UK Test
That's what the guidance on the government website and elsewhere online seems to suggest but I'd just like confirmation before I complete the form.

Many thanks and best wishes,
Vanessa

After reading your post had a look at the Form T guidance on gov.uk - these are the requirements:

To be registered under this section you must:
• have been born in the UK on or after 1 January 1983
• be 10 years of age or over
• have spent no more than 90 days outside the UK in each of the first 10 years of your life
• be of good character

Life in the UK test is not mentioned anywhere - unless there's something I am missing or other members can point out anything else you should be ok. You should apply online.
