I am confused on how to go about applying for my kid's British passport. Would be great if someone can help me out on this.

I received my ILR on 9th February 2019 and my wife got it on 15th January 2020. Our child was born on 26th May 2019.

Should I be applying for Child's citizenship using the MN1 form and then apply for the passport or I can apply directly for the passport as I had ILR before he was born.

Where was the child born? In the UK or abroad?

Passport directly if child was born in the UK after you got ilr.

If child was born abroad, there is no entitlement to apply for citizenship or a passport.

Child was born in UK.

I just need to apply for the passport in that case. Thanks for the help
