Help! naturalization documents and UKVI appointent

Hello! I'm an italian citizen and after 8 years in the uk i'm finally applying for british citizenship...I have a bit of an issue, and i really dont know what to do, and time is sort of running out!

I submitted the online form for naturalisation a couple of weeks ago (therefore, it can't be changed), paid the fee, and i have my UKVI appointment ( is that how it is called? when you have to go get your passport checked / get all the physical copies of your documents scanned and shipped) next week.

Literally 20mins after submitting the form/application, i've realised i might have made a mistake in the section regarding my employment history, and now i'm in full panic mode!

i'll explain: in the past 8 years or so i've been mainly employed full time, but i've also been registered with hmrc as self-employed as sometimes i pick up a freelance gig here and there.
As these freelance gigs are sparse, rare and can last as little as 2 days, or go on for as much as 6 months, with me working like, just a couple of hours each week ( it's just stuff i do over the weekend / in the evening after work), i didnt even think of listing them on the form, while i've listed all my full time employment.
As my very last job was full-time AND freelance, ive listed it in the form, so now i have to provide my latest HMRC tax return: ironically, he "issue" is, of course i pay my taxes every year as a self-employed, so my freelance gigs all appear on my HMRC record, and on my latest tax return too - but that means my tax return will show a company thats not listed in my application form!!!!

so now im thinking, maybe i should have listed all the freelance gigs i did? what should i do?
i was thinking of pointing it put in the cover letter i intend to send with my application ( basically just writing that ive listed all my full time employments, while they can find my freelance employment in my tax record), do you guys think that would be enough?

thanks so much in advance for any help that can be sent my way!!

i should also specify, when i booked the appointment i picked the option that said they were going to scan my documents there, instead of me having to do it ( i was scare of doing it wrong, so i pad the extra fee!)

It is your appointment with UKVCAS a company working for Home Office UKVI, basically to give your biometrics, and you have paid for them to scan and load your documents. You could have loaded your documents yourself for free.

Yes, that's the right way to go, and load the letter with the other documents. These things happen but as long as you include a correction it's normally not an issue.

Good luck with the application.

thank you so much for your reply!
Not sure if there's an answer for this, but do you think its enough mentioning that ive freelanced, or should i also give the name of the companies, and the start and end dates of my contracts?

also, on a separate note:
i'm double checking all my documents, and i've just realised on my checklist it asks for both my passport and a "proof of nationality".
Surely my proof of nationality is my passport?

If you worked for them as an employee (PAYE) then list them individually. If it's through your own Ltd company then just show as self-employed, if through an agency then just show their name.

Surely my proof of nationality is my passport? Correct.

again, thanks again for helping me out here :)

basically, ive already listed all my paye employments in the form, but not my freelance gigs - i freelance not through a limited company, i just invoice my clients and then go on the HMRC website to pay my taxes once a year ... would writing on my cover letter that i'm registered as self-employed be enough, or should i list the precise clients and dates of all my gigs?

I suppose just your self-employment self-assessment return is sufficient in that case. Just add a copy. Again, no need to list your clients.
