Hello,

I hope someone can shade some light on this!

I am British and my husband is also (Both through ILR and naturalisation). We are expecting our second child and I am planning to go to India as our parents are there.

We are not sure about how the nationality and passport will work for the new born. We think newborn will get British passport directly but not sure how and wat the process is?

Csn someone advise?

Yes the child will be British by descent when born in India, you would apply for a British passport, overseas application.
