Hello members. I have seen and read about good character requirements for naturalization application. But I am still a bit confused regarding my situation.
Basically I was convicted of assault causing ABH in Nov 2014, and received 26 weeks suspend sentence and some fine. When is it exactly I can apply for naturalization? Your guidance and help is much appreciated. Thanks

It would appear you could apply in 2024.

Thanks for your reply, on the booklet and on page no 12, the statement says that if the conviction took place in 2 of the past 3 years. From which I assume that time period of conviction spent which in my case is 2.5 years plus 3 years after the conviction is spent. That makes it a total of 5 and half years. Will I be able to apply after 5 and half years time period. Also can you please explain when u said 2024 is the year when I can apply for naturalization, how does that come about. Your help is much appreciated.

The 10 years to 2024 years was assuming a custodial sentence.
As yours was suspended and counts as non-custodial I would assume you are able to apply now, based on the statement:
You would normally be refused if you received ....
"a non-custodial sentence or other out-of-court disposal that is recorded on
their criminal record which occurred in the 3 years prior to the date of
application"
Your sentence and record is dated back to Nov 2014 so you should not be refused.
