British Citizenship- Reapplying

Hi All,
Thank you for reading my post.
To cut long stories to short. I entered in the UK illegal in 2002 and applied for asylum and it failed. In March 2010, I was granted residency card through marriage to EU members and subsequently in permanent 2015. In 2016, I applied British Citizenship but it got refused due to 10 years rule for entering in UK illegally.
My question now is am I qualified to reapply for British Citizenship if not when I can do it?
Any helps will be gratefully appreciated
Thank you
Mouct

Hello
They need to see 10 years of your being legal in the UK.
So the earliest is 2020. I would wait until 2021 and apply.

The OP can apply in March 2020 (the exact date would have been written in refusal letter in 2016 )as that would make it 10 years. However, I agree that the OP can wait a bit longer, maybe summer 2020 or much later in the year.

Yes they say 10 years. But I always recommend to give them a few months more or wait until next year. So when they look back 10 years, they see 10 full and complete years where there is no incident with immigration.
But if you are in hurry, give it a few months after March 2020 before applying.

Hi all,
Thank you for your help.
So, if I understand correctly I can apply from March 2020. The 2016 refusal letter didn't mention anything when I can reapply which is worrying because I don't want to throw £1300 for nothing.
Thank you

yes you can apply from March 2020, but since you said there's no date on the refusal letter, and if you cant remember the exact date your first residency card was issued, then it might be safer for you to wait a bit longer before applying. Maybe you can wait for another 3-6 months just to be sure your 10 years is complete. If you are willing to wait longer, that also fine.

British Nationality -Excel Parking Fine (CCBC)

Hi All,
I am about to apply British Citizenship. However, i am bit concern about the letter received from County Court Business Centre.
It appears that i received a parking fine from excel back in 2016 and was not paid. I was about to get a loan but the rate has jumped up significantly and checked my credit score reports and found there is claimed against me. I called them to explained that i have moved in few addresses and they had my old address down.
Now i have been told to paid £235(£120 for Excel Parking, £25 for CCBC and £90 for xxxxxx) within 30 days so that they can remove fine under my record but i can't afford to pay all one go and they are saying if i don't pay within 30 days it will stays on my record for 6 years.
I am pretty confuse. Is this CCJ ? will this affect my British naturalisation application?
I apologise if this has been asked in here before.
Any helps will be much appreciated

Looks like a CCJ, as you are dealing with the County Court Business Centre, and it's on your credit report. A CCJ as such is not an issue as long as you are dealing with the matter and complying with any arrangements such as payment plan etc.

Hi, thank you for your reply.
Yeah I am, as I have agreed to pay the fees.
Should I mention it when applying for Citizenship?
Thanks again.

Yes, UKVI have access to credit reports. As I said it's not something that will affect the application.
