Section 3 - Parents’ residence in the UK or the British overseas territories, where applicable
3.3 Give details of all absences from the United Kingdom and the British overseas territories
during the reckonable period of residence above. If necessary, continue on final page of this application form:
does that mean i have to fill in all the absence from the uk of myself even though the application is for my child.

ILR status does not expire. So you do not need a valid BRP to apply

Naturalisation question help needed!!

Hi all
I applied for my wife and 2 kids for naturalization all of them are in ILR for last 5 years, however my kids BRP cards are expired (by 4 months) and i have already got the approval for my wife but not for my kids
is this normal or does MN1 takes longer.
wife (AN1): ILR 5 years, applied on 23/01/2020, bio metrics 14/02/2020, approval 01/03/2020
Kids(MN1- born outside UK): ILR 5 years, applied on 23/01/2020, bio metrics 14/02/2020, still waiting
when we apply together is it usually approval is done at once or MN1 & AN1 handled separately
Note: all applicant are outside EU
Thanks
Shace

Update:
my wife had the ceremony today and she got all 3 naturalization certificates for the kids
Naturalization certificate date for wife - 12/03/2020
Naturalization certificate date for Kids 1 & 2 - 27/02/2020
This is strange because we never got any official communication from home office for the kids naturalization at all from the day we applied. we been given the certificate at the ceremony.
some points to be noted:
- you can apply for naturalization with expired BRP, both my kids BRP were expired at the time of applying.
- even though you apply together the approval dates can be different, my wife approved date was 02/03/20 but my kids were on 27/02/2020
- my personal opinion, don't use the upload facility from the Sopra steria, after I applied for my 2 kids, one had 12 files uploaded and the other had only 9 and the worst part is you cannot see which files are missing once you submitted, probably case officer would have used the common sense since I applied for both together.
- for proof of living my wife got the employment history from HMRC which is only one page which covered last 7 years (I know you don't even need to send this just passport should be fine), but we attached this to keep the documentation simple.
no need to attached P60, payslips, letters from employers etc..
Thanks for all the forum members for helping me out on various occasion, all the best.
Shace

This is not uncommon. Their registration certificate is handed to parents during ceremony when you apply together
