Hope you are keeping well in these times.

I have a query about when I will be eligible for BC. My spouse will apply for BC in August once they complete 12 months on ILR. I will complete my 12 months on ILR in October.

If my spouse gets their BC before October, say in September, am I immediately eligible to apply for BC or do I need to complete my 12 months on ILR separately?

Unlikely an approval and ceremony will occur in such a short space of time especially as all ceremonies are currently on hold during the pandemic so there will be a big backlog when things start up again.

From biometric appointment date to approval letter, it takes between 6 weeks and 6 months. You are only British once the ceremony has been attended and not when the approval letter is received.
