Hello,

My wife and I both have British Citizenship (I from birth, my wife since 2016).
She has a son from a previous marriage who is 13 years old and has indefinite leave to remain, having lived in the UK following a court appeal with HMRC in 2017. We would like to apply for British Citizenship for him ASAP but wonder if he must live in the UK for 3 or 5 years first. Is this the case, or would it be possible to apply earlier / now?

Thanks

He can apply now.

Older children require 2 years residence.

There is no 5 years residence requirement for children.

Thanks for the information.
Would it be form MN1 for this?

Thank you
