Registration for a child or ILE application

Good morning forum
Hope everyone is keeping safe and well.
Please could the mods confirm the procedure to obtain citizenship for a child.
The circumstances are a father has obtained ILR early 2008, child born abroad late 2008, father obtained citizenship through naturalisation 2009. Mother does not have citizenship.

Give that you constantly post about other people seeking advice, who is this for and where is the child and the mother, UK or abroad, and what are their immigration status if they are in the UK?
If the which is abroad and has not lived in the UK AND holds ILR, they have no route to register as British.
The father becoming British after the child's birth doesn't give the child any entitlement to British citizenship.
If neither the child or other are in the UK, the child will need a visa and follow the same path to ilr as the mother.

I do recall explaining to you before that Iām always approached my members of my community most impoverished or destitute with no access to advice.
The Child is still abroad but the mother is in the uk on 2.5 year visa.

Once both the child and the mother have ILR, the child can then register as a British citizen.
