Hello All,

I am applying for British Citizenship via online form.

I have a query for below question:

- Under "Previous application details" section, There is a question: Name in which you made the application

My doubt is, whether it is to fill my own name or category I have applied in for whole immigration history?

Please help.

No, that is not what the questions asks. It asks for the "name in which" application was made, not the name OF the application. People change their names for various reasons. This is to cross check that.

Thanks all for responding. Now that is little confusing. Two different opinions.

It is really not clear. Please spare some thoughts and help me to clarify.

It is your name. People change their names, ie because they marry, so had different visas in different names. Ho wants the details of the different names.

There is a separate question about all your immigration applications you have made.

So he will have to write his name every time he will enter his previous immigration application?
I looked into my application and there wasn’t any other questions for the name of application! By the way that’s what I answered in my application and it’s been approved already

Cr001 is right. It is your name and not type of visa you applied.

So I’m wrong then but I did it as it shows on the attached picture and my application been approved
