Hi all,

I applied for my British Citzenship in February and I am still waiting for a decision. However i was offered a job in the Middle East and I need my British passport in order to receive a visa for September. Any advice for me? Should I threaten a judicial review? Thanks

Good luck trying that. Citizenship is a privilege, not a right or an entitlement. There is no way to speed it up and threatening to go to JR so that you can take up a job in the Middle East (effectively leaving the UK permanently) will find your application suitable refused for failing to meet the future intentions aspect you confirmed when you submitted your application.

You are also only British once you have attended your ceremony and the ceremonies are currently suspended as Home Office is not sending out certificates to the Council since end of March.

British passports can take 6 weeks.
