I am starting my process for naturalisation and using the online form. However, I am unclear on the documents needed.
Do we need to just upload copies? If we have to mail documents, do we send copies or originals.

These are the documents that I have:
1. Indian passport
2. Permanent Resident card ( BRP)
3. Life in the UK test results
4. UK master degree (for English language competency)
5. 2 reference letters. - do I need send the original with my photos? Or is this no longer needed with an online application.

Do I need any additional documents?

From what I understand although we can now make the online application the guidance is still for a paper/ postal application.

Also what is the average time for receiving a decision Usually?

Nothing and no originals are posted to HO anymore.

Everything is uploaded digitally.

Referee forms must be uploaded yes. Signed referees forms with your photo are still mandatory.

Applications can take anywhere between 8 weeks and up to 6 months, sometimes longer.
