Friend been eligible for Naturalisation since late 2015, and the original passport expired late 2017. Not travelled abroad since then at all.

• What docs are required in case of this expired passport?

• Is there any official documentation/reference to this expired passport scenario for Naturalisation application?

In my case I applied with an expired passport, they only asked for the expired passport nothing else

As your passport is expired for about 3 years, HO will expect to see other evidence of residence in the UK, such as P60s, council tax etc.

That shouldn’t be an issue re: those additional docs.
