FORM T - Do documents have to be scanned online?

Hi,
I've finally paid for my Form-T and have been redirected to the UKVCAS website to upload my documents online, however as part of my supporting documents I have big documents such as my child health book and medical record that shows activity within the UK during the specified dates.
It would take me forever to scan all of the pages one by one, can't I just post all my documents to the home office manually for the case-worker to look at directly instead of fussing about with all this scanning business? I'm not even sure how I'd go scanning my health book for example.
I had even prepared a nice folder where all the documents were sorted and ready to look at. :/
Any help would be appreciated,
Thanks
