Provided the date of birth of the child is on or after the date on the naturalisation certificate of either parent, the child would be a British citizen by descent if born abroad and can apply for a British passport directly.
Keep in mind that the children of this British citizen by descent (the grandchildren of the British citizen by naturalisation) will not be British citizens automatically if they are born outside the UK.
