Hello
My name is Rohit EU citizen and my wife non EU.
My daughter 14 yrs born outside the UK but EU citizen having settled status.
We thought of registering her as British citizen under section 3(1) and she was registered under discretion by HO. I was too sceptical about this cause I had to pay more than a £1000.
I wanted to know that by registering her as British citizen is it the same thing as other British citizen I mean can her future generations also be British.
Has other people also registered under this section 3(1)
Thanking you in advance.

Have you registered a second username to ask the same question again??? Both usernames posting from the same static IP address. Multiple usernames are strictly not permitted on the forum.
Asking the same question under a different username also does not change the answer already given!!

If your daughter is registered as a British Citizen, she will become a British citizen otherwise than by descent and will be able to pass on her British citizenship on the same terms as a British citizen born in the UK.
Her children born anywhere around the world will be British citizens by descent automatically. However, her grandchildren will not be British citizens automatically if born abroad. British law allows automatic transmission of British citizenship to only one generation born abroad.

Lots, as that is the only route for children (under the age of 18 years) who are born abroad and who do not have any British ancestry to acquire British citizenship.
