Hi All,
I hope you all are doing well during these difficult times.
Soon I will be applying for British Citizenship, and I have a query around the date of application.
I am eligible to apply on 6 September 2020; however, I was away on holiday back in 2015 from 15 September 2015 until 26 September 2015. Will this be a problem?

You have to be physically present in UK exactly 5 years before counting back from the date of application. The date of application is the date you pay and submit.

Lets say you apply on 6th Sep 2020. You should be physically present in UK on 7th Sep 2015 only. If your outside UK after that, it will fall under absence requirements. Not more than 450 days outside UK from 7th Sep 2015 - 6th Sep 2020 (last 5 years) and not more than 90 days outside UK from 7th Sep 2019 - 6th Sep 2020 (last 1 year).

I have a follow-up question however this is relating to the referee. I thought I'd ask here instead of creating a new topic. Happy to start a new topic if that is the protocol.

Can a professional referee be "Credit Risk Manager" of an LTD Company? however, the company is based in Ireland they do have a branch in the UK.
