Hi all,

I am trying to find out what date will be considered by the Home Office as the date the UK citizenship application is received.

As per the Guide AN booklet the following apply to my case:

"You must have been physically present in England, Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man or the Channel Islands on the day 5 years before the application is received by the Home Office."

I have a lot of small trips in and out of the UK due to work and I want to make sure my application will be received when I was physically in the UK.

Can someone advise what date Home Office will consider as the date the application is received:

- the date when the application is submitted and paid on visas-immigration.service.gov.uk website

or

- the date on which I will attend the UKVCAS appointment to submit my biometrics data and verify my identity

Thank you

The date of application is the date you submit and pay online.

It is not the biometric appointment date.
