Travelling Abroad - Time Limit?

Hi Everyone,

I hope you are all staying safe.

I know this has been asked so many times and that it is ok to travel abroad whilst a citizenship application is pending.

My Question is, is there a time limit of how long we can stay outside the UK while the citizenship application is still pending?

Due to COVID travel restrictions and quarantine rules whilst travelling, I might end up staying abroad for 1.5 - 2 months.

I called the Home Office helpline and they mentioned that "this depends on my circumstances, which they can not comment on, but there is no such rule about going abroad whilst the citizenship application is pending".

Can you guys share your experiences about this? Did you go abroad for a month or more without any issues with your application?

Many thanks and good luck to all of you with your applications.

No.

The call centre is outsourced to a third party agent.

You are free to travel. I would suggest you have someone check your post. HO can and sometimes do ask for originals or other documents to be sent to them.
