Applying one more time and au-pair questions

Hi all,

I am Fran, Italian citizen with Settled Status, and I am about to apply for the British Citizenship: hooray!

I have two questions for which I couldn't see any answer in this forum... apologises if I missed them :)
Could you please have a look below and let me know what you think?

1) How many time can you apply for the Citizenship? For example, if my application is not accepted, can I wait some years and then re-apply when some circumstances are changed?
2) I had an unpaid au-pair arrangement for the first six months I arrived in UK. I am not in contact with the person who hosted me that time and this individual has already denied to provide any form of reference in the past (I am still puzzled by this). I don't even know where this person lives at the moment, nor I have a telephone number. So I am a bit confused on what to do: is au-pair considered a job? Should it go in the job declaration section?

Thank you very much for you help, I deeply appreciate it.
Fran

If it's of any help, the au-pair was a house renovation project, so no help in any commercial or production business.

You can apply as many times as you want, provided you meet the requirements on the date of application.

Keep in mind though that naturalisation applications are pretty expensive (~£1250) and you do not get a refund if the application fails.

Thank you for your reply Simon.
I am hoping that all goes well at the first time BUT you never know.
Cheers again!
